Dear friends,
I just came back home from another nice run. Actually, I am training as I set myself a goal and will take part within the 123people relay at the Vienna City Marathon. It might be really ridiculous running 16 kilometers but what would life be without the goals? Aren’t they a major part of it?
I just thought about that intensively and realized that I always feel better when I set myself some goals. And – moreover – make decisions (okay, goals and decisions might be something different but in this sense they’re the same). I often tend to think too much about the possibilities and choices without picking one of them. And so I end up doing nothing at all.
So I decided to write down a list of things that I really want to do in 2009. So here are my goals:
- Finally do the Amalfi/Capri roadtrip in late spring/early summer (this one is already booked!)
- Buy the cool, red Vespa I already wanted to buy last year (this one is already ordered!)
- Do the Latin course to really get my law studies going
- Work on the book idea I have been carrying around with me for years
- Start with yoga
- Do a culinary autumn tour in the Piemonte region in Italy (I still can’t believe that I didn't have the time and energy in the last two years)
So, apart from writing this blog and eating an apple a day, these are my goals for this year. Being officially published in my blog now, I guess they’re set in stone. Aren’t they? ;-)
I thought about a fitting song to this entry … there’s just one that came into my mind and I was wondering why I haven’t attached it to one of my previous entries. It’s actually one of my favourite songs and was getting me through my A-level: “Dreams” from the Cranberries. And apart from being a powerfull song, I do think that it should be attached to every spring playlist. :-)
Love,
Iris
