Heroes

Dear friends,
there are no excuses for not writing, I know - at least that’s what I tell a guy who tells me that he’s too busy with his stuff. Well, I was busy too. Busy with another big change in my life that needed a load of energy. But it was worth it.

So now, it’s official: I am back in Vienna after two years abroad in Italy and Switzerland. A great experience and something I always wanted to do. Why? I have no idea. Maybe because it’s something that everybody needs to do to find out more about him-/herself.

If this is the real reason, then I definitely did the right thing. I found out a lot about myself and that might be the reason why I am completely satisfied with the thought of coming back. Completely satisfied with the way it is. Some might say that it’s a step back. I say it’s coming back home – at least it feels that way and therefore it feels so right.

Well, I started this blog two years ago when moving away. Coming back would be a good reason to shut it down – especially as I wasn’t writing anything lately. BUT it might be a better reason to keep it going. I am back in the inspiration mode for my writing and I don’t want to miss this opportunity. There are loads of things on my mind that need to find a way out! :-)

So lately, I was thinking a lot about those circles of life. You might not notice anything when they begin, but all of a sudden you recognize them if you read the signs carefully. And then those circles close and everything comes together, all the jigsaw puzzles begin to make sense. And things are always a lot better if they do make sense … don’t you think?

My soundtrack over the last couple of weeks was David Bowie’s “Heroes” – and I do love the version attached to this entry … his voice is much older than in the original take. So mature … and yes, really sexy! ;-)

And yes: This entry is dedicated to all my personal heroes! Thank you!

Yours,
Iris
